🏙️ Project Spotlight: Light, Elegance, and Innovation in Downtown Saskatoon

Vanguard Specialty Products is proud to have played a role in one of Saskatoon’s most inspiring new commercial spaces—a striking 55,000 square foot, three-storey office fit-out located in the heart of downtown. Designed with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and employee well-being, this project is currently on track to achieve LEED Platinum certification, one of the highest standards for environmental performance in building design.

This modern workspace was thoughtfully crafted to support collaboration, creativity, and comfort. From flexible meeting areas and open-concept lounges to breakout zones, quiet rooms, and a vibrant lunchroom, every corner of the space was planned with purpose. Acoustic considerations and smart lighting systems enhance the environment further, ensuring it’s not just beautiful—it’s built to perform.

As part of this exceptional project, Vanguard Specialty Products was entrusted to supply and install a window treatment solution for key areas of the office—bringing both function and elegance to the final interior finish.

A Layered Window Treatment Solution

One of the standout features of the space is the use of motorized sheer drapery—a design element that adds softness, texture, and visual warmth to the office. These sheers provide just the right amount of privacy while allowing ample natural light to filter in, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere.

Behind the sheers, we installed motorized roller shades using a 3% openness fabric, providing an extra layer of control for moments when privacy or light management is needed. These dual systems work together seamlessly, offering a flexible solution that can adapt to the dynamic needs of a modern workplace.

With the touch of a button, users can shift from an open, sun-filled environment to a more controlled and focused setting—ideal for presentations, virtual meetings, or simply reducing glare. This blend of beauty and automation ensures that the environment stays comfortable, functional, and energy-efficient throughout the day.
