Vanguard Specialty Products is honored to have contributed to a transformative new space serving the Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services (YTCCFS). This remarkable 35,000-square-foot, three-story facility brings five former YTCCFS offices together under one roof, creating a centralized, purpose-built environment for collaboration, support, and cultural connection.

Commissioned by Calico Investments, our team was entrusted to supply and install over 280 wand-operated roller shades throughout the building. We selected a 3% fabric to provide an ideal blend of daylight control, privacy, and comfort—critical for an environment dedicated to both professional work and personal wellbeing. The shades’ wand-operated mechanism offers a safe, user-friendly solution that complements the building’s sleek, modern interior.
Designed by P3Architecture Partnership (P3A) and constructed under the expert management of Wright Construction, this project is more than just an office building—it’s a powerful reflection of community values and Indigenous identity.

From the bold metal cladding and warm longboard accents to the polished concrete floors and inviting rooftop patio, every design element has been chosen to promote durability, functionality, and beauty. At the heart of the space is a striking architectural centerpiece: a 40-foot tipi structure illuminated by a skylight, symbolizing unity, tradition, and resilience. Indigenous artwork, colors, and materials are woven throughout the facility, creating an environment that honors heritage while supporting a modern vision for child and family services.
Vanguard Specialty Products is proud to have played a small but meaningful role in this culturally significant and architecturally impressive project. We thank Calico Investments for the opportunity to be part of this initiative, and we extend our congratulations to all project partners who brought this inspiring vision to life.
